Trooper Chad Dermyer was shot and killed at the Greyhound bus station in Richmond,Virginia on March 31, 2016.  By now we have all heard about it and some are in mourning. On April 5, 2016 in Hampton, Virginia approximately 3500 people attended the funeral services for this fallen hero at Liberty Baptist Church. He was killed during a training exercise when a man pulled out a gun and started shooting at the officers that were there. Trooper Dermyer was shot and killed, his fellow officers killed the suspect.
Trooper Chad Dermyer “had integrity, fortitude, character, and lord knows, he had compassion for other people†More than 80 out of state  officers representing more than 20 agencies attended the funeral. There were 250 cars in the procession and countless motorcycles that produced a sea of blue lights as the procession went down the road. I have been to many of the Law Rides that the motorcycle squads from around the country do every year on Mother’s Day in honor of fallen police officers that is followed by a ceremony at the wall of fallen officers in our Nations Capital of Washington D.C. and I will tell you that there is nothing like seeing all these cops ride their motorcycles down the road. I have included a video of the funeral procession for Trooper Chad Dermyer and you will see what just a few of them looks like. Well, it is more than a few but you will get the idea.
