The Department of Homeland Security published new rules that overhaul its deportation policy, instructing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to capture and deport every undocumented immigrant they come across.
According to The Washington Times, Obama’s work was criticized once again when Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly gave the go-ahead to federal agents to begin deporting illegal aliens and arrest them if necessary.
The agents will be allowed to treat everyone the same and to make no exceptions if measures need to be conducted.
Kelly instructed the agents to deport every person that is illegally trying to cross the border between Mexico and America.
Criminals are the top of the list before everyone else, and that is quite understandable.
“It is not intended to produce mass roundups,” one Homeland Security official stated of Kelly’s memos signed on Monday.
These memos also ask for around 5,000 and more Border Patrol agents, 10,000 more Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and 500 more officers for the Air and Marine operations at Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The Democrats in Congress are naturally not happy about this and are raging about the entire development.
“We need an immediate public examination in Congress of these heavy-handed, anti-family policies,” said Sen. Richard J. Durbin, Illinois Democrat. “The Senate should also pass the bill I’ve sponsored to repeal the mass deportation order. The Republican-controlled Congress has an urgent responsibility to do its constitutional duty and act as an independent check on President Trump.”
Well, in order to keep America safe, changes must be enforced. While Obama didn’t care about any of this, Trump does, so the liberals will just have to deal with it.
