It is estimated that there were about 100 people inside the club when the shooting first started around 2 a.m. and the area surrounding the night club quickly filled with police and other emergency vehicles. At about 3 a.m. The Pulse’s Facebook page had a post that read, “Everyone get out of pulse and keep running.”
The local authorities originally planned a news conference at 4:30 a.m but because the situation was still so fluid and all the information had not been gathered it was postponed and is expected to be held at 7 a.m.
